Alternative careers virtual panel - Beyond Academia and Industry
Beyond Academia and Industry Career Panel
Are you a first-generation graduate student who has ever wondered what career options are available outside of traditional academia and industry jobs? If so, please join us for an exciting virtual career panel designed specifically for the professional development needs of first-generation students. This panel will feature alumni from the fields of patent law, science writing, medical science liaison, and strategic philanthropy. The panelists invited include a mixture of first-generation and non-first-generation professionals.
Through the Beyond Academia and Industry career panel, not only will you get to connect with recent alumni about their different career trajectories, but you will also have the opportunity to ask questions of working professionals who were once in your shoes. By participating in this career panel, you will get to take an active step toward developing your professional networks, gain insights and advice on your next steps beyond graduate school, and learn about the plethora of careers available to you after graduation.
